Flower Delivery Driver

About the role

Stratostaff East Africa is hiring a full-time driver in Kiambu to deliver flowers to assigned stalls according to the daily delivery schedule. The role covers careful handling of flowers, delivery documentation, vehicle care, road safety and customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver flowers to assigned stalls on time, handling them carefully so they stay fresh and undamaged, and verify quantities and condition before dispatch and on arrival.
• Maintain accurate daily delivery records, including delivery notes, quantities, destinations and acknowledgements of receipt, and report delays, complaints, accidents or incidents promptly.
• Keep the assigned vehicle clean and in good condition, carry out pre-trip and post-trip checks (oil, tyres, fuel, lights, brakes), report defects and follow the approved maintenance schedule.
• Obey traffic laws and company driving policies, drive safely, and report accidents and traffic incidents immediately.
• Treat customers courteously, keep a neat appearance, safeguard confidential information and follow the company code of conduct.
• Perform other reasonable duties assigned by the supervisor.

Required profile

• A valid driving licence appropriate for the assigned vehicle.
• Minimum of a KCSE certificate or equivalent qualification preferred.
• Previous experience in delivery driving, preferably in transport, fresh produce, flower or retail distribution, is an added advantage.
• Physically fit to handle, load and unload flowers where required.

Required skills

• Good knowledge of traffic rules, road safety and basic vehicle maintenance.
• Ability to keep accurate records and complete delivery documentation.
• Good communication, customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Honesty, reliability, punctuality and responsibility.
