Food and Beverage Manager

About the role

The Zanzibar Collection, an award‑winning boutique luxury resort group on the southeast coast of Zanzibar, is seeking an experienced Food & Beverage Manager to lead its F&B operations. This senior, full‑time position reports to senior management and is responsible for delivering memorable dining experiences while maintaining high standards of quality, profitability and team performance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage all Food & Beverage outlets and day‑to‑day operations.
• Drive exceptional guest experiences through personalized service.
• Recruit, coach, mentor and inspire a high‑performing F&B team.
• Maintain consistently high standards of food, beverage and service quality.
• Manage departmental budgets, stock controls, costs and profitability.
• Collaborate with the Executive Chef and other department heads to enhance the overall guest experience.
• Ensure full compliance with health, hygiene and safety standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 3–5 years’ management experience in a luxury 5‑star hotel or international resort.
• Degree or Higher Diploma in Hospitality Management or a related field.
• Proven leadership, communication and people‑management skills.
• Strong commercial awareness with solid financial and operational knowledge.
• Fluency in English; additional languages or Swahili are advantageous.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MICROS, Symphony or OPERA property management systems.

• Salary USD 1,500–2,000 per month, dependent on experience.
