Food & Beverage Manager

About the role

Q-Sourcing, a manpower management solutions firm operating across East Africa, is recruiting a competent, skilled and experienced Food & Beverage Manager in Kenya on behalf of its client. The role oversees restaurant, bar and food and beverage operations, drives revenue growth, maintains high service standards, controls costs, oversees the padel team and monitors procurement.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily restaurant, bar and F&B operations, supervise Floor Supervisors and ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, health and safety requirements and licensing.
• Drive sales targets, monitor daily sales, revenue, guest feedback and customer satisfaction, and grow revenue through upselling, promotions, corporate bookings and events.
• Control food and beverage costs, stock movement, wastage and variances, review purchase requisitions and coordinate with Procurement, Stores, the Executive Chef, Cost Controller and Finance.
• Oversee the padel team's performance, attendance, bookings, court usage, equipment and merchandise.
• Set KPIs for the floor team, prepare weekly and monthly reports, attend management meetings and escalate issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Hospitality Management, Business Administration or a related field.
• At least 5 years of relevant F&B management experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Restaurant, bar and padel experience is an added advantage.

Required skills

• Strong financial acumen and cost control skills.
• Excellent knowledge of food safety, hygiene and health and safety requirements.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications.
• Leadership, communication and results-oriented mindset.
