Food & Beverage Supervisor – Events & Conferencing

About the role

We are looking for an energetic, organized and guest‑focused Food & Beverage Supervisor to lead our events and conferencing operations at a boutique luxury hotel in Nairobi. The role involves overseeing banquets, meetings, conferences and private functions, ensuring every detail meets luxury hospitality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Negotiate, secure and book events.
• Supervise set‑up and smooth execution of conferences, meetings, banquets and private events.
• Lead and brief F&B service teams before and during events.
• Coordinate with Events, Kitchen and F&B teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Maintain correct table settings, buffet presentation, service equipment and event layouts.
• Monitor guest requirements and respond promptly to requests or service issues.
• Uphold high standards of cleanliness, presentation, hygiene and guest service.
• Assist with stock control, requisitions and efficient use of F&B resources.
• Provide hands‑on support during busy periods from set‑up through to completion.

Required profile

• Minimum 2–3 years’ F&B supervisory experience in a 4‑ or 5‑star hotel, luxury hospitality or high‑end events operation.
• Proven experience in banqueting, conferences, corporate functions or events.
• Strong knowledge of food and beverage service standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Highly organized with great attention to detail.
• Professional, confident and guest‑focused personality.
• Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
