Front Desk Agent

About the role

The Front Desk Agent will be the first point of contact for guests at Villa Rosa Kempinski, a five‑star luxury hotel in Westlands, Nairobi. You will handle check‑ins and check‑outs, provide courteous service, and support revenue growth through up‑selling.

Key responsibilities

• Check in arriving guests, register them, assign rooms and accommodate special requests.
• Process guest check‑out, verify payments, settle accounts and issue invoices.
• Handle front‑office cash transactions, foreign‑currency exchange and balance cash float at shift end.
• Answer guest inquiries by phone or in person, resolve issues or refer to appropriate departments.
• Coordinate room status updates with housekeeping for early check‑ins, late check‑outs and special requests.

Required profile

• Kenyan citizen with a certification in Front Office Operations.
• 2–3 years’ experience as a receptionist or guest‑relation officer in an international 5‑star hotel.
• Excellent oral and written English, presentable appearance and professional etiquette.
• Flexibility in scheduling and a customer‑service orientation.

Required skills

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Proficiency with the Opera property‑management system.
