Front Gate Security Guard

About the role

The Front Gate Security Guard serves as the first point of contact for anyone entering or leaving The Gregory School campus. This role ensures a safe and orderly environment for students, faculty, visitors, and staff by managing access and monitoring activity at the main entrance.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor security cameras for any suspicious activity and report concerns promptly.
• Verify that vehicles display the correct parking placard before allowing access to campus grounds.
• Greet visitors, confirm appointments, and direct them to the administrative office for check‑in.
• Determine whether individuals have authorized access and control entry for unauthorized persons.
• Assist unaccompanied students and visitors when they are leaving the property.
• Remain vigilant for unauthorized attempts to enter the campus and respond according to the Emergency Management Plan.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of experience in security or a related field.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Professional demeanor and a positive attitude.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and work in varying outdoor weather conditions.
• Eligibility to obtain an Arizona Department of Public Safety clearance card.

Required skills

• Ability to operate and monitor security camera systems.
• Basic knowledge of campus access control procedures.
