Full‑time Accountant – Nairobi

About the role

Volt Management Services is seeking a qualified Accountant to join its finance team in Nairobi County. The role involves managing daily financial operations, maintaining accurate records, and supporting management with timely reporting and analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records, ledgers and accounts.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, reconcile bank statements and petty cash.
• Process payroll, statutory deductions and ensure timely filing of KRA, VAT, PAYE, NSSF, SHA returns.
• Prepare budgets, monitor expenditure and manage cash flow.
• Issue invoices, follow up on outstanding payments and support external audits.
• Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and procedures.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Professional certification such as CPA (Part II or higher) is an advantage.
• Proven experience in an accounting role.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage or Zoho Books.
• Strong knowledge of tax compliance and statutory requirements in Kenya.
