About the role
We are seeking a native Gikuyu speaker to join our team on a contract basis. This remote position involves translating, reviewing, and annotating English and Gikuyu texts to support AI model development and various localization projects.
Key responsibilities
- Translate written materials between English and Gikuyu with cultural accuracy.
- Review and edit Gikuyu content for grammar, style, tone, and clarity.
- Assess, annotate, and evaluate text data for AI training purposes.
- Collaborate with the client’s team to deliver linguistic insights and recommendations.
- Maintain consistency of Gikuyu language usage across multiple projects.
- Participate in innovative language tasks such as localization, data annotation, and linguistic analysis.
Required profile
- Native proficiency in Gikuyu with advanced written and verbal skills.
- Strong command of English, including professional writing and editing.
- Proven experience in creating, reviewing, and editing written content.
- Demonstrated expertise in translation between English and Gikuyu.
- Excellent attention to detail and a passion for linguistic accuracy.
