Gikuyu Language Teacher (Remote, $30-$80/hr)

About the role

We are seeking a native Gikuyu speaker to join our team on a contract basis. This remote position involves translating, reviewing, and annotating English and Gikuyu texts to support AI model development and various localization projects.

Key responsibilities

• Translate written materials between English and Gikuyu with cultural accuracy.
• Review and edit Gikuyu content for grammar, style, tone, and clarity.
• Assess, annotate, and evaluate text data for AI training purposes.
• Collaborate with the client’s team to deliver linguistic insights and recommendations.
• Maintain consistency of Gikuyu language usage across multiple projects.
• Participate in innovative language tasks such as localization, data annotation, and linguistic analysis.

Required profile

• Native proficiency in Gikuyu with advanced written and verbal skills.
• Strong command of English, including professional writing and editing.
• Proven experience in creating, reviewing, and editing written content.
• Demonstrated expertise in translation between English and Gikuyu.
• Excellent attention to detail and a passion for linguistic accuracy.
