Glass, Windows and Doors Installation Technician

About the role

Wonder Properties is looking for a competent Glass, Windows and Doors Installation Technician in Westlands, Nairobi. The role covers measuring openings, fabricating components where required, and installing glass panels, aluminium windows and doors together with their fittings. The ideal candidate delivers precise installations with quality finishes, functionality, durability and compliance with project specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Measure openings and verify dimensions before fabrication or installation.
• Install aluminium, glass and other specified window and door systems.
• Fit glass panels, frames, hinges, handles, locks, rollers and other hardware.
• Cut, prepare and fit glass where trained and equipped to do so.
• Apply silicone sealants, gaskets and weatherproofing materials.
• Adjust doors and windows so they open, close and lock smoothly.
• Inspect installations for alignment, stability, finishing and defects.
• Handle and transport glass safely to minimise breakage and injury.
• Coordinate with site supervisors, clients and other technicians.
• Maintain tools and comply with site safety requirements.

Required profile

• Technical training in glazing, aluminium fabrication, construction or a related field.
• Proven practical experience installing glass, aluminium windows and doors.
• Ability to take accurate measurements and interpret basic technical drawings.
• Knowledge of glass types, aluminium profiles, hardware, sealants and installation techniques.
• Good workmanship, attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
