Glaze & Pulp Material Tester

About the role

We are looking for a Glaze & Pulp Material Tester to join our technology department in Kisumu. The role involves conducting laboratory analyses of glaze, pulp/slurry and ceramic raw materials to ensure they meet quality standards and support smooth production.

Key responsibilities

• Perform laboratory tests on glaze, pulp/slurry and ceramic raw materials.
• Measure and record key parameters such as density, viscosity, moisture content and fineness.
• Prepare samples according to standard operating procedures.
• Analyse results, generate reports and flag any material that does not meet specifications.
• Assist production teams in diagnosing and resolving material‑related issues.
• Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment, ensure cleanliness and proper sample storage.
• Follow all safety protocols and use personal protective equipment.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Ceramic Engineering, Industrial Chemistry or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in a laboratory, quality control or manufacturing environment.
