Government Relations & Compliance Supervisor

About the role

The Government Relations & Compliance Supervisor will coordinate and maintain relationships between the company and Kajiado County Government and other relevant agencies, ensuring compliance with regulations and facilitating effective communication.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong working relationships with Kajiado County Government officials and regulatory bodies.
• Coordinate legal matters with external lawyers and government offices.
• Ensure compliance with county and national regulations, deadlines, and requirements.
• Manage applications, renewals, and follow‑ups for permits, licenses, and statutory documents.
• Represent the company in routine administrative meetings and official engagements.
• Maintain proper records of legal documents, correspondence, permits, and compliance reports.
• Follow up on regulatory disputes, notices, inspections, and other legal issues.
• Provide regular updates to management on engagements, compliance status, and potential risks.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Public Administration, Political Science, Law, Business Administration, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in government relations, legal administration, or regulatory compliance.
• Good knowledge of Kajiado County Government operations and Kenyan regulatory requirements.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information professionally.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and administrative reporting.
