Head of Investment

About the role

The Head of Investment will lead the organization’s investment function, shaping strategy and driving portfolio growth across multiple sectors. Reporting to senior leadership, this senior position requires a strategic mindset and a proven track record in portfolio management and capital mobilization.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute investment strategies aligned with corporate objectives.
• Identify, evaluate, and secure investment opportunities across diverse asset classes.
• Oversee portfolio performance, manage risk exposure, and recommend strategic adjustments.
• Conduct financial analysis, market research, valuations, and build financial models.
• Lead due diligence for investments, acquisitions, and strategic partnerships.
• Build and maintain relationships with investors, financial institutions, regulators, and partners.
• Support fundraising and capital mobilization initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with investment policies, governance standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the investment team, setting KPIs and performance targets.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Investment Management, Business Administration or related field.
• Master’s degree and/or professional qualifications such as CFA, CPA, ACCA, CISI are a plus.
• 5–8 years of progressive experience in investment management, private equity, asset management, corporate finance or financial analysis.
• Proven experience managing investment portfolios and leading transactions.
• Strong understanding of financial markets, valuation methodologies, and risk management principles.
