Head of Sales & Marketing – Integrated Commercial Solutions

About the role

The Head of Sales & Marketing will manage processes, teams and resources to grow the business by marketing and selling services or products that meet client needs, while ensuring operational effectiveness, customer satisfaction, profitability and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute commercial strategy, lead annual planning and business reviews, and adapt the business model to industry trends.
• Drive business development projects, identify new opportunities, and formulate feasible business plans.
• Build and maintain profitable partnerships with key stakeholders and manage principals to grow sales, distribution and supply.
• Ensure commercial targets are met through demand management, stock optimisation and coordination with supply teams.
• Develop and implement commercial strategies, monitor competitor behaviour, and oversee pricing to protect margins and support growth.
• Lead and develop the pharma business unit team, handling talent management, performance, mentorship and succession planning.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in sciences; additional qualification in sales, marketing or business is a plus.
• Over 10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Proven ability to analyse sales performance, market trends and forecast challenges.
• Strong networking, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience with budget preparation, P&L management and key‑account handling in the Kenyan market (advantage).
