Health & Safety Specialist

About the role

Sunda International is seeking a Health & Safety Specialist to lead workplace safety initiatives, ensure compliance with local health and safety regulations, and foster a strong safety culture across its manufacturing operations in Kajiado.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct regular workplace safety inspections and identify potential hazards.
• Support risk assessments and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor compliance with health and safety policies and relevant regulations.
• Investigate workplace incidents and follow up on corrective measures.
• Coordinate fire safety inspections, emergency drills, and Emergency Response Team activities.
• Deliver safety inductions and awareness training for all employees.
• Maintain accurate health and safety records and prepare reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least one year of experience in occupational health and safety, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• NEBOSH IGC or equivalent safety certification is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of hazard identification, risk assessment, and workplace safety practices.
• Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and organizational abilities.
