Hotel Sales Executive – Nairobi

About the role

We are looking for a dynamic Hotel Sales Executive to join our team in Nairobi’s Westlands district. The role focuses on driving revenue for a 3‑star/4‑star property through proactive client acquisition and relationship management.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and target prospective corporate and leisure clients to generate new hotel business.
• Develop and present tailored sales proposals, negotiate contracts and close deals.
• Maintain and grow existing client accounts, ensuring high satisfaction and repeat business.
• Collaborate with the operations and revenue teams to align sales activities with hotel availability and pricing strategies.
• Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts and market analysis for senior management.
• Attend client meetings, site visits and industry events, with willingness to travel as needed.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Sales & Marketing, Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Tourism Management or a related field.
• 2–3 years proven experience as a Hotel Sales Executive or in a comparable sales role within a 3‑star or 4‑star hotel.
• Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets consistently.
• Strong understanding of hotel operations, hospitality sales processes and revenue generation.
• Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel for client engagements.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience using CRM systems for lead and pipeline management.
• Familiarity with hotel Property Management Systems (PMS) is an advantage.
