Hotel Store Keeper – Somalia

About the role

The Hotel Store Keeper will manage all store operations for a hotel located in Somalia. Reporting to the Accountant/Cost Controller, you will ensure accurate receipt, storage, issuance and record‑keeping of all goods while maintaining a clean and secure environment.

Key responsibilities

• Receive deliveries, verify quantity, quality and specifications, record receipts in GRN and update inventory.
• Maintain organized, secure storage, applying FIFO/FEFO methods and monitoring temperature for perishable items.
• Issue stock only against approved requisition forms, record issuances promptly and control high‑value items.
• Keep accurate stock records, track reorder points, report slow‑moving or near‑expiry items and assist with monthly physical counts.
• Ensure stores are locked, keys logged, and cleanliness standards met to prevent theft and contamination.
• Coordinate daily with kitchen, housekeeping, maintenance and procurement teams regarding stock availability.

Required profile

• Entry‑level qualification.
• Approximately 24 months (2 years) of experience in storekeeping or inventory management.
• Ability to supervise store assistants if required.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standard operating procedures.
