Housekeeper - Beach Resort, Ukunda

About the role

Wirbelwind Marketing LTD manages beach homes at Diani Beach on Kenya's South Coast, offering three two-bedroom houses and two studio units in one compound. It is hiring a full-time, on-site Housekeeper based in Ukunda ward to keep the property clean and welcoming.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and maintain guest rooms, common areas, bathrooms and kitchens to a high standard
• Make beds, change linens, dust, mop and vacuum, and keep amenities replenished
• Manage laundry for linens and towels
• Report maintenance issues and keep storage areas organised
• Interact with guests courteously, respond to basic requests and help maintain the compound's presentation and hygiene

Required profile

• Previous experience in hospitality or residential housekeeping is an advantage
• Attention to detail, reliability and the ability to stand for long periods
• Training capability or willingness to learn established cleaning standards and safety protocols

Required skills

• Strong housekeeping and laundry skills, including proper linen handling and cleaning procedures
• Effective communication and customer service
• Solid organisation skills for managing supplies and prioritising tasks
• Basic understanding of hygiene, health and safety practices is preferred
