ILO‑SIYB Training of Trainers (ToT) for BIRE Programme Officers

About the role

Hand in Hand Eastern Africa (HiH EA) is seeking qualified ILO‑SIYB certified trainers to deliver a comprehensive Training of Trainers (ToT) programme. The assignment will certify 18 BIRE Programme Officers across all SIYB modules, enabling them to independently train programme beneficiaries.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver a full‑cycle ToT covering every ILO‑SIYB module.
• Assess participants’ learning outcomes and issue certifications.
• Develop or adapt training materials to align with ILO‑SIYB standards.
• Provide feedback and coaching to trainees to ensure high‑quality delivery.
• Coordinate training logistics with HiH EA staff and programme partners.

Required profile

• Certified ILO‑SIYB trainer with proven experience delivering ToT programmes.
• Background in entrepreneurship, MSME development, or business development services.
• Familiarity with the Kenyan NGO and development sector.
• Strong command of English (both spoken and written).

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of the ILO‑SIYB curriculum.
• Adult‑learning facilitation and training design techniques.
• Assessment and certification processes.
