Impact Manager – Hybrid (London/Nairobi/Mumbai)

About the role

Acumen is seeking an Impact Manager to support the Associate Director of Impact in designing and implementing Acumen Academy’s Theory of Change and Impact Framework. The role is based in London with a hybrid work model (minimum three days onsite) and is also open to candidates located in Nairobi or Mumbai.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in developing the Theory of Change, logframes, and impact measurement plans for all Academy projects.
• Support the creation of the Academy Evidence and Measurement Framework.
• Design and maintain Indicator Tracking Tables and project dashboards to compare targets against actual results.
• Ensure projects have SMART objectives and appropriate indicators.
• Co‑design impact measurement and performance management plans, including data flow and analysis in partnership with the data team.
• Oversee day‑to‑day data activities: collection, extraction, cleaning, analysis, reporting and presentation.
• Develop, test and validate quantitative and qualitative data collection tools in line with sector best practices.
• Lead data integrity and cleaning processes in collaboration with regional data leads.
• Create a data flow map for qualitative data collection, extraction, analysis and reporting.
• Coordinate annual Lives Impacted reporting and contribute to systems innovation and improvement.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience in impact measurement, theory of change development, or related fields.
• Strong analytical abilities with a proven track record of designing impact frameworks.
• Self‑starter who can work independently and manage multiple projects.
• Comfortable working with data and technology and eager to grow within an impact role.
