About the role
The Industrial Attachment in Editorial Services (News) provides a full‑time, hands‑on learning experience within Kenya Broadcasting Corporation’s news department. Based in Nyeri, the attachment allows the participant to observe and contribute to the production of news content, supporting the editorial workflow. The program is designed to give insight into editorial standards, newsroom coordination, and the use of broadcast tools. Participants will work closely with senior editors and gain practical experience in news production processes.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the editorial team in gathering, verifying, and preparing news material.
- Support the preparation of news scripts, bulletins, and broadcast segments.
- Help maintain editorial archives and databases.
- Participate in editorial meetings and contribute ideas for news coverage.
- Conduct basic research and fact‑checking for news items.
Required profile
