Interim Head of EMEA Partnerships (12‑month maternity cover)

About the role

The Interim Head of EMEA Partnerships will lead the Foundation’s partnership and programme work across Europe (excluding the UK), the Middle East and Africa for a 12‑month maternity cover. The role focuses on expanding impact in Spain, building insight and networks in Africa, and acting as a point of contact for the Middle East.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver partnership and programme activities across EMEA (excluding the UK) with priority on Spain and emerging African markets.
• Maintain and execute the Foundation’s existing EMEA strategy, adapting plans based on in‑market insight.
• Identify and pilot new collaboration opportunities, overseeing delivery as required.
• Develop and maintain country plans for priority markets while scouting future focus countries.
• Monitor the regional digital‑education landscape to flag emerging opportunities and risks.
• Build and nurture relationships with governments, ministries of education, NGOs and other partners.
• Represent the Foundation in partnership discussions and support ongoing funding conversations.
• Work with key partners to extend reach to educators and learners on the ground.

Required profile

• Strategic leader with proven experience in partnership development within the education sector.
• Ability to work collaboratively across education, product, marketing, commercial and fundraising teams.
• Strong understanding of digital‑education ecosystems and ecosystem‑building.
