Internship Opportunities Across Engineering Disciplines

About the role

Lochmueller Group offers a range of 2027 internship opportunities across multiple engineering and environmental disciplines. Interns will work on real projects alongside experienced professionals, gaining hands‑on experience in infrastructure design, environmental services, construction administration, and more.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in transportation, water resources, environmental, construction, traffic, or structural engineering projects.
• Participate in meetings, client interactions, and project team discussions to understand project scopes.
• Support the preparation of design documents, analyses, and reports using industry‑standard software.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Strong interest in infrastructure, sustainability, and community‑focused engineering.

Required skills

• Proficiency or exposure to software such as AutoCAD, Civil3D, MicroStation, AutoTurn, Bluebeam Revu, HY‑8, Autodesk Storm and Sanitary Analysis, Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with ArcGIS, Plant3D, Revit, WaterGEMS, SewerGEMS, XP‑SWMM, HEC‑RAS, GeoHECRAS, OpenFlows, Noise Modelling, Air Quality Modelling, GPS technology.
• Familiarity with Synchro, Open Roads, Vissim, Sidra Intersection, ArcGIS Pro, Adobe Creative Suite, Mathcad, Bentley OpenBridge Designer, Merlin‑DASH.
