Investment Officer (Kakuma)

About the role

Inkomoko is seeking an Investment Officer to join its Kenya team in Kakuma. You will support refugee and local entrepreneurs by managing the full investment lifecycle, from due diligence to portfolio monitoring and system administration.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct due diligence, prepare investment contracts, and manage disbursements for new borrowers.
• Maintain borrower relationships, monitor repayments, and keep delinquency rates within targets.
• Update and oversee the Investment Management System (Odoo‑powered LMS), ensuring accurate recording of disbursements and repayments.
• Collaborate with Business Development, Finance, and external partners such as Kiva to meet reporting and fundraising requirements.

Required profile

• University degree in Finance or a related field.
• Fluent in English and Swahili.
• 2+ years of experience in investment management, micro‑finance, or lending environments.
• Experience dealing with customers, debt collection, and providing business advice.
• Ability to work legally in Kenya.

Required skills

• Odoo (LMS‑powered investment management system).
• LMS (Learning Management System) or similar investment software.
