iPOS Field Sales Agent (Homabay)

About the role

The iPOS Field Sales Agent will drive adoption of the iPOS mobile point-of-sale platform across Homabay and surrounding areas. Working directly with farmers, agro‑dealers and small‑medium enterprises, you will onboard new users, provide hands‑on training and ensure ongoing support to maximise customer satisfaction and retention.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and engage potential iPOS customers within the assigned geographic zone.
• Present the benefits of the iPOS solution and convert prospects into active subscribers.
• Collect accurate customer profiles and monitor turnover.
• Collaborate with partners and value‑chain stakeholders to build a robust sales pipeline and pursue upsell opportunities.
• Install and configure the iPOS application on customer devices and deliver practical training.
• Conduct regular on‑site visits to provide post‑implementation support and address technical issues promptly.
• Maintain detailed activity reports and communicate feedback to internal teams.

Required profile

• Mid‑level experience (at least 2 years) in sales, field service or customer onboarding.
• Strong understanding of the agricultural sector or SME market in East Africa.
• Proven ability to build relationships and retain customers.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Swahili.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with mobile point‑of‑sale (mPOS) applications.
• Basic troubleshooting and device configuration skills.
• Ability to deliver training and technical support in field settings.
