IT Technician

About the role

Marriott International is seeking an IT Technician to support its Nairobi property. You will ensure the reliability and performance of all technology equipment, from installation to daily operations, while delivering professional service to guests and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and execute IT equipment installations, moves, additions, changes and system enhancements.
• Enter commands, activate controls and troubleshoot non‑routine hardware, software and internet issues.
• Maintain inventory of technology devices and manage PBX/telephone switchboard systems.
• Ensure computer and telephone rooms are secured and access is controlled.
• Analyze processes, recommend improvements and implement efficiency measures.
• Support guest services by addressing technology‑related requests promptly.
• Follow all company policies, safety procedures and maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Computer Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant IT support experience.
• Professional appearance, strong communication skills and ability to work in a hospitality environment.
