About the role
Kenya Medical Training College is recruiting a Lecturer (Grade 2) in Community Oral Health in Nairobi. The post involves teaching and assessing students, supporting curriculum implementation and continuing education, and conducting research in the field.
Key responsibilities
- Teach and evaluate students
- Prepare schemes of work, lesson notes and lesson plans
- Assess students in clinical areas
- Guide and counsel students on academic matters
- Support the design and development of instruments to assess health training needs
- Develop guidelines for the evaluation of health teaching materials
- Evaluate training programmes to determine their effectiveness and relevance
- Implement the competence-based curriculum
- Plan and organise continuing education programmes for health workers
- Conduct research in the area of specialisation and supervise students on research projects
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree in Community Oral Health
- Registration with the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC)
- Valid practicing licence
Required skills
- Proficiency in computer applications
