Lecturer in Health Systems Management and Health Informatics

About the role

The University seeks an experienced lecturer to teach health management, health informatics and health economics to undergraduate and graduate students. The role includes curriculum development, research, and academic service on site in Nairobi.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver lectures, tutorials and seminars in public health, health management and health informatics.
• Design, develop and review curricula, syllabi and assessment tools.
• Provide academic advising, mentorship and supervision of postgraduate researchers.
• Participate in university committees, quality‑assurance and accreditation activities.
• Conduct independent and collaborative research, publish findings and manage research grants.

Required profile

• PhD in Public Health or a related discipline (Health Systems Management, Health Services Management, Health Informatics, etc.).
• At least three years of university teaching experience at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
• Demonstrated experience in curriculum design, postgraduate supervision and research.
• Registered with relevant professional bodies where applicable.

Required skills

• Strong ICT skills, including use of learning and research management platforms.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Proficiency in research methodology and grant writing.
