Legal Counsel / Head of Legal (EMEA)

About the role

Accelera Digital Group is looking for a Legal Counsel / Head of Legal based in Nairobi to formalize its international presence, manage complex multi-regional legal structures and safeguard its commercial interests across diverse markets. The role covers commercial contracting, entity management and policy development.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate complex commercial agreements with global customers and technology partners, aligned with the company's Advisory, Implementation and Managed Services models
• Manage legal relationships with major technology partners (e.g. Google Cloud, AWS, Datadog) and clients in fintech, gaming and telecoms
• Lead the legal setup and registration of new entities and company structures across Africa, the Middle East and Europe, including upcoming offices in Monaco, Tanzania and the UK
• Ensure compliance with local corporate laws and licensing requirements in each jurisdiction
• Build, implement and maintain corporate policies to standardize operations across global offices
• Advise leadership on legal risks related to data analytics, AI and cybersecurity, and develop data privacy and cross-border data transfer frameworks

Required profile

• Law degree from a recognized institution and professional legal certification or bar admission
• 8+ years of experience in corporate law, preferably in technology consulting or IT services
• Strong understanding of legal frameworks in the Middle East and Africa; European market experience is a significant plus
• Ability to represent the company to high-level stakeholders and partners
