About the role

The Liberal Studies Department at Shamberere Technical Training Institute is seeking a dedicated Trainer to deliver curriculum‑aligned instruction. The role involves preparing learning materials, assessing trainees, and supporting research activities under senior supervision.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver training sessions in assigned Liberal Studies subjects following the approved curriculum.
• Prepare teaching/learning materials, lesson plans, and assessment tools.
• Set, administer, and mark assessments, providing constructive feedback.
• Conduct research work under the guidance of a senior trainer.
• Supervise trainees' projects, practical work, and on‑the‑job attachments.
• Perform any additional duties assigned by department leadership.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or Higher National Diploma in a relevant discipline.
• Pedagogy in Education and TVETA registration (mandatory).
• Minimum of one year of relevant teaching or training experience.
• Registration with a professional body or association where applicable.
• Strong organizational and communication abilities.
