Literacy & Numeracy Coach – Leader Band B-1

About the role

The Leader Band B-1 position at Moana Primary School focuses on improving literacy and numeracy outcomes for primary students. The role is offered on a full‑time equivalent basis with part‑time and flexible arrangements considered, and it runs from January 2027 to January 2032.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver high‑quality literacy and numeracy instruction across year levels.
• Lead school‑wide improvement initiatives in partnership with the River Hub local partnership.
• Mentor and coach classroom teachers to enhance their instructional practice.
• Develop and review curriculum resources aligned with state standards.
• Analyse student data to monitor progress and inform teaching strategies.
• Report outcomes to school leadership and external partners.

Required profile

• Qualified teacher with experience in primary education.
• Demonstrated expertise in literacy and numeracy pedagogy.
• Commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a school community.
• Willingness to undertake a five‑year fixed‑term appointment.
