Loader / Offloader

About the role

Q-Sourcing Limited, trading as Q-Sourcing Servtec, is a manpower management firm operating across East Africa. On behalf of its client, it is looking for competent, skilled and reliable loaders and offloaders to work in Kenya on an as-needed basis. The role requires physical stamina and flexibility to support loading and offloading operations according to business needs.

Key responsibilities

• Load and offload goods, materials and products safely and efficiently, handling them carefully to avoid damage, breakage or loss.
• Arrange goods properly in vehicles or storage areas to maximise space and ensure load stability, and assist in securing cargo.
• Verify quantities against delivery notes and dispatch documents, and report shortages, damages or discrepancies to the supervisor.
• Obtain and submit acknowledgment documents where required.
• Follow safety policies, wear PPE, follow safe lifting and manual handling procedures, and report accidents and unsafe conditions.
• Keep the work area clean and organised, and maintain attendance records.
• Work as part of a team, follow supervisors' instructions and adapt to different tasks and flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Required profile

• KCSE or equivalent qualification, with basic literacy and numeracy.
• Previous experience as a loader, turnboy, warehouse assistant or in logistics/distribution is an added advantage; fresh candidates with the right competencies may be considered.
• Physically fit, able to lift and stand for long hours.
• Attention to detail, good communication and teamwork skills.
