Logistics and Warehousing Manager – Kiambu County

About the role

The Logistics and Warehousing Manager will oversee all warehousing, inventory, and logistics functions for raw and finished macadamia kernel products in Kiambu County. The role ensures smooth material flow, accurate stock records, compliance with food‑safety standards, and cost‑effective transportation to meet production and export targets.

Key responsibilities

• Manage receiving, storage, picking, packing, dispatch and inventory control for kernels, packaging materials and finished goods.
• Maintain FIFO/FEFO rotation, optimise warehouse layout and ensure audit‑ready cleanliness.
• Conduct daily, weekly and monthly stock reconciliations, cycle counts and annual audits, resolving any discrepancies.
• Guarantee full lot traceability from farmer delivery through processing to customer shipment.
• Coordinate outbound logistics for local and export shipments, liaise with freight forwarders, transporters and clearing agents, and prepare export documentation.
• Monitor transportation costs and identify reduction opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with HACCP, GMP, FSSC 22000, BRCGS, KOSHER and other regulatory standards, supporting internal and external audits.
• Lead and develop the warehouse team, overseeing performance and safety practices.

Required profile

• Mid‑level experience (approximately 5 years) in logistics, warehousing or supply‑chain management.
• Proven ability to maintain accurate inventory records and enforce traceability procedures.
• Familiarity with food‑safety and quality standards applicable to agricultural products.
• Experience managing outbound logistics for both domestic and export markets.
• Strong leadership skills to supervise warehouse staff and ensure compliance with safety and hygiene protocols.
