Major Account Manager – Nairobi, Kenya

About the role

Fortinet is seeking a Major Account Manager to lead enterprise‑level sales across the East Africa region from Nairobi. You will leverage your network to develop new business, nurture existing accounts, and act as the primary liaison between customers and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain executive‑level relationships to understand business imperatives and IT drivers.
• Sell Fortinet’s cyber‑security and networking solutions using a consultative approach.
• Develop account and tender plans for both new and existing opportunities.
• Coordinate resources such as system engineers, channel partners, and specialist sales teams to maximise sales volume.
• Conduct quarterly business reviews to demonstrate value and drive continued investment.
• Keep customers informed of product road‑maps and help them mitigate business risks.

Required profile

• Proven enterprise sales experience in the hi‑tech sector, preferably cyber security or networking.
• Self‑motivated, competitive, detail‑oriented and driven to win.
• Excellent oral and written communication with strong listening skills.
• Experience working across East Africa.
• Fluency in English.
