About the role
The Mathematics/Chemistry Teacher will facilitate learning by guiding students to acquire competencies, skills, and values as outlined in the CBC framework. The role emphasizes learner‑centered pedagogy, practical application of knowledge, and holistic development.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging Mathematics and Chemistry lessons aligned with CBC requirements.
- Foster problem‑solving, critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration among learners.
- Design and administer formative and summative assessments that measure competencies.
- Incorporate experiments, projects, and real‑life applications to enhance understanding.
- Provide individualized guidance, mentorship, and remedial support where necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of learner progress, portfolios, and performance reports.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and the community to support holistic development.
- Engage in continuous professional development and stay updated on CBC methodologies.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Education (B.Ed) with specialization in Mathematics and Chemistry, or equivalent.
- Training in CBC pedagogy and assessment strategies.
- Registered with the Teachers Service Commission (TSC).
- Strong communication, mentorship, and classroom management skills.
