Mathematics Teacher – Lower Primary (Grades 1‑3)

About the role

Strathmore School is looking for a qualified Mathematics and Science & Technology teacher to join its Lower Primary team. The successful candidate will deliver engaging, age‑appropriate lessons in Mathematics, Science and Technology to learners in Grades 1 to 3.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high‑quality Mathematics and Science & Technology lessons for Grade 1‑3 learners.
• Design learning activities aligned with the Competency Based Curriculum (CBC).
• Monitor and assess learner progress, providing timely feedback.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, performance and development.
• Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents and school leadership to support learner wellbeing.
• Participate in school activities, staff meetings and professional development.

Required profile

• Relevant teaching qualification with Mathematics as the primary specialism.
• Valid TSC registration or eligibility to register.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Passion for teaching young learners and ability to make Mathematics enjoyable.
• Patient, nurturing, organised and reliable.

Required skills
