Mechanical Field Service Engineer – Non Rotary Equipment

About the role

We are looking for a Mechanical Field Service Engineer (FSE) specialized in non‑rotary equipment to join our team in Nairobi. You will work on beverage‑industry machinery, providing installation, adjustment, and troubleshooting support at customer sites.

Key responsibilities

• Execute mechanical installation, adjustment and troubleshooting tasks on equipment and HMI systems.
• Operate and maintain electro‑mechanical systems following Standard Operating Procedures.
• Test and evaluate equipment performance against technical, contractual and safety specifications.
• Document non‑conformities, submit time sheets and technical reports, and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Identify and report after‑sales opportunities observed on‑site.

Required profile

• Strong mechanical background with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in the beverage industry or similar process‑machinery environment.
• Graduate degree in Mechanical or Electromechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Willingness to travel up to 90 % of the time, including international assignments.

Required skills

• Mechanical installation and adjustment.
• Troubleshooting of mechanical and electro‑mechanical systems.
• Operation of HMI interfaces.
• Pneumatics knowledge.
• Reading electrical diagrams, mechanical drawings and line layouts.
• Familiarity with Sidel equipment such as depalletizers and palletizers (plus).
