About the role

Kabarak University is seeking a qualified Medical Officer to join its health services team in Nakuru, Kenya. The role involves providing clinical care to patients, both in‑patient and out‑patient, and supporting the university’s medical operations.

Key responsibilities

  • Assessment, investigations, prescription of treatment and follow‑up of admitted patients.
  • Referral of patients to appropriate specialists as required.
  • Availability on call during nights, weekends and public holidays, including follow‑up of admitted patients.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the Senior Medical Officer or University Authority.

Required profile

  • Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBChB) or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Previous experience in a busy hospital (preferred).
  • Registered with KMPDC with a valid practice licence.

Required skills

  • ACLS and ATLS (or equivalent) certification with valid credentials.
  • Computer proficiency.
