Medical Officer – Private Primary Care Clinic

About the role

Runda Oaks Medical is launching a new private primary‑care clinic in Westlands, Nairobi, and seeks an experienced Medical Officer to lead its clinical services. You will act as the principal General Practitioner, delivering high‑quality outpatient care while shaping the clinic’s clinical governance, protocols, and standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct primary‑care consultations as the resident General Practitioner.
• Develop, implement, and maintain clinical protocols, standards, and workflows.
• Ensure compliance with Kenyan regulatory, ethical, and clinical‑governance requirements.
• Lead and mentor multidisciplinary staff, including nurses, a paediatrician, a pharmacist, and allied health professionals.
• Participate in strategic planning, quality‑assurance activities, and clinical audits.

Required profile

• Medical Doctor (MBChB or equivalent) registered with the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council and holding a valid practising licence.
• Minimum 4 years post‑qualification clinical experience, preferably in primary care.
• At least 2 years in a senior leadership role such as Medical Director, Clinic Lead, or Head of Department.
• Strong general‑practice skills and a patient‑centred approach.
