Mobility Finance Manager (Kenya)

About the role

M-KOPA Kenya Mobility Limited, the electric‑vehicle financing arm of Africa’s leading asset fintech, is looking for a Mobility Finance Manager to build and lead the finance function for its standalone mobility entity in Kenya.

Key responsibilities

• Own the end‑to‑end monthly close process, including accruals, pre‑payments, inter‑company transactions, depreciation and foreign‑exchange accounting.
• Produce variance analysis that separates brand‑mix effects from one‑off items.
• Monitor the loan book, analyse repayment behaviour by cohort and manage provisioning and bad‑debt trends.
• Lead lender reporting, covenant compliance, drawdown documentation and support due‑diligence processes.
• Partner with OEMs to interrogate economics, model new product launches, assess supply agreements and build financial cases for board presentations and grant proposals.

Required profile

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CPA(K), ACCA, CA or equivalent).
• Proven track record in senior finance management, including statutory and management reporting.
• Deep applied knowledge of IFRS, especially IFRS 9, IFRS 16, IAS 21 and revenue recognition.
• Experience with audit processes and lender compliance.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel financial modelling.
• Strong IFRS knowledge (IFRS 9, IFRS 16, IAS 21, revenue recognition).
• Financial analysis and variance reporting.
