Montessori Kindergarten Teacher

About the role

Join a dynamic, creative environment as a Montessori Kindergarten Teacher reporting to the Head Teacher. You will nurture the holistic development of each child while delivering Montessori‑based education.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor the welfare and holistic development of every child, ensuring physical and emotional safety.
• Observe, guide, supervise, and assess children in classrooms, online settings, and student homes.
• Develop lesson plans, independent learning exercises, curricula, and methods tailored to individual needs.
• Participate in professional activities such as workshops, INSET sessions, meetings, assessments, and parent reporting.
• Create and maintain a safe, clean, stimulating learning environment.
• Build trusting relationships with students and model values such as honesty, respect, and kindness.
• Monitor and assess student progress, write reports, and ensure classroom supplies are available.
• Participate in school activities, field trips, and assist with orientation and training of new teachers.
• Update school database records and handle various administrative tasks.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Education (ECD) or related early childhood teaching degree.
• Montessori Diploma or completed training at an accredited Montessori centre.
• Registered with the Teachers Service Commission (TSC).
• Relevant teaching experience, preferably with Montessori or early childhood settings.
• Passion for alternative education and ability to teach mixed‑age groups.
• Excellent observational, communication, diagnostic, planning and organisational skills.
• Ability to multitask, stay calm under pressure, and treat everyone with love and respect.
• Demonstrable computer proficiency for virtual learning.
