Nurse – University Clinic

About the role

The university clinic is seeking a qualified nurse to deliver high‑quality nursing care to students and staff. The role involves assessing and treating patients, administering medication, managing emergencies, maintaining health records, and providing health education within the campus environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care, including assessment, treatment, and follow‑up for students.
• Conduct patient triage, monitor vital signs, and perform preliminary clinical assessments.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in line with professional standards.
• Respond promptly to medical emergencies, delivering first aid and basic life support.
• Maintain accurate, confidential, and up‑to‑date patient medical records.
• Deliver health education, counselling, and preventive‑care guidance.
• Support health‑screening, immunisation, and wellness programmes.
• Coordinate referrals and ensure appropriate follow‑up for specialised care.

Required profile

• Diploma in Nursing from a recognised, accredited institution.
• Minimum two (2) years of post‑qualification nursing experience.
• Registered with the Nursing Council of Kenya and holding a valid practising licence.
• Demonstrated commitment to patient‑centred, ethical nursing practice.
