Nursing Services Manager

About the role

The Nursing Services Manager will lead the nursing team at Healthpact Hospital, ensuring high‑quality, patient‑centered care across all clinical areas. This senior nursing role combines leadership, policy development, and operational oversight to drive excellence in maternal and newborn health.

Key responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and direction to nursing staff in wards, maternity, outpatient, theatre and other departments.
• Develop, implement and monitor nursing policies, SOPs and clinical guidelines aligned with regulatory standards.
• Lead quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient satisfaction, clinical outcomes and infection control.
• Supervise, mentor and appraise nurse‑in‑charges and frontline nurses, fostering continuous learning.
• Collaborate with medical officers, specialists and department heads for integrated patient care.
• Ensure appropriate staffing levels, equitable scheduling and deployment based on workload and patient acuity.
• Champion respectful, skilled, client‑centered maternity services to position the hospital as the maternity of choice in Isiolo County.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Nursing from a recognized institution.
• At least 5 years of progressive nursing experience, with a minimum of 36 months in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Registered and licensed by the Nursing Council of Kenya.
• Demonstrated expertise in maternal and newborn health, including obstetric emergencies and post‑natal care.
