Operations Controller (Transport)

About the role

DP World is looking for an experienced, customer‑focused Operations Controller to oversee transport and freight forwarding activities from shipment initiation to final delivery. The role ensures operational excellence, regulatory compliance, accurate financial administration, and high‑level customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate end‑to‑end transport and freight forwarding shipments, maintaining complete and accurate documentation.
• Monitor cargo movements, milestones, and service performance; track arrivals, clearance, release, and delivery.
• Reconcile shipment documentation, investigate delivery variances, and produce operational reports.
• Capture and manage shipment accruals, align estimates with invoicing, support close‑outs and revenue recognition, and monitor costs such as detention, demurrage, and storage.
• Serve as primary client contact, provide proactive updates, resolve queries, and maintain strong relationships with carriers, agents, and service providers.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, global SOPs, customs regulations, and local legislation.
• Prepare and manage exception, unbilled, volume, status, WIP, and accrual reports.

Required profile

• Minimum Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Transport Management, Port Operations or an equivalent qualification.
• Freight Forwarding Certificate.
