Operations Team Member (Nairobi)

About the role

Java House Africa Ltd is looking for an Operations Team Member to join its Westlands outlet in Nairobi. You will be part of a fast‑paced café environment, ensuring guests receive prompt, high‑quality service while supporting daily restaurant operations.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver food orders from the kitchen to tables accurately and promptly.
• Maintain food presentation, temperature, and quality according to restaurant standards.
• Communicate order status and guest needs with kitchen and service staff.
• Keep waiter stations, tables, and the restaurant clean and organized.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and waste‑management procedures.
• Assist with opening and closing duties, restocking, and supporting wait staff during busy periods.
• Take orders, present bills, and process payments efficiently.

Required profile

• Minimum KCSE certificate with a mean grade of C.
• At least 6 months of experience as a certified Java House staff member or similar hospitality role.
• Strong planning, decision‑making under pressure, and interpersonal abilities.
• Customer‑oriented, reliable, flexible team player.
• Interest in the hospitality industry and willingness to undergo in‑house service training.
