Paramedic – On‑site Medical Support for Manufacturing Plant

About the role

The Paramedic will provide immediate medical care, first‑aid treatment and occupational health support to employees and visitors at Keda Ceramics’ Kisumu Tiles Factory. Working in a factory environment, the role focuses on rapid response to injuries, illnesses and emergencies while promoting a safe and healthy workplace.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver prompt first‑aid and emergency medical care to staff, contractors and visitors.
• Assess patients, administer treatment, monitor vital signs and decide on hospital referral when needed.
• Perform wound care, dressing, suturing and manage minor injuries and illnesses.
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure the clinic is stocked with medicines and supplies.
• Inspect and replenish first‑aid kits throughout the plant.
• Participate in emergency drills, fire evacuations and preparedness activities.
• Educate employees on first‑aid, wellness and occupational health practices.
• Support pre‑employment, periodic and return‑to‑work medical assessments.
• Ensure compliance with OSH regulations and company health policies.
• Investigate workplace injuries, prepare incident reports and coordinate ambulance services.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Paramedicine, Emergency Medical Care, Nursing or related field.
• Valid registration and practicing licence with the relevant professional body.
• Minimum five years of experience as a Paramedic, EMT, Clinical Officer or Occupational Health practitioner, preferably in manufacturing or industrial settings.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends and respond to emergencies outside regular hours.
