Part‑time Peer Reviewer – Mining Engineering (PhD)

About the role

We are seeking experienced researchers with a PhD in mining engineering or a closely related field to join our editorial team as part‑time peer reviewers. This long‑term, remote position allows you to contribute to the quality of scholarly publications while maintaining flexibility in your schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Assess the novelty and originality of submitted manuscripts.
• Evaluate study design, methodology, and reproducibility.
• Verify that literature reviews are comprehensive and up‑to‑date.
• Analyse results and conclusions for clarity, relevance, and scientific soundness.
• Provide constructive, clear, and concise feedback to authors.
• Recommend acceptance, revision, or rejection to the journal editor.

Required profile

• Doctorate (PhD) or equivalent advanced degree in mining engineering or a related discipline.
• At least five peer‑reviewed papers published in SCI/SSCI journals within the last three years.
• Strong understanding of research methodologies and ethical standards.
• Excellent analytical, critical‑thinking, and written communication skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively.
• Commitment to confidentiality and objectivity.
• Prior experience as a peer reviewer is highly desirable.
