Payroll Advisor

About the role

ASIC is seeking a Payroll Advisor to join its People & Culture team. You will be at the centre of delivering seamless payroll and employee lifecycle services, supporting staff across Sydney and Brisbane.

Key responsibilities

• Process accurate and timely payroll transactions in line with legislation, policy and service standards.
• Manage employee lifecycle events such as onboarding, contract changes, transfers and off‑boarding.
• Calculate and process entitlements including commencements, terminations, leave and acting arrangements.
• Maintain payroll and HR records, ensuring data integrity and compliance.
• Handle employee changes like salary progression, leave arrangements, work‑pattern updates and organisational moves.
• Collaborate with Payroll, People Advisory, Finance and business stakeholders to ensure smooth employee outcomes.

Required profile

• Experience managing a broad range of employee lifecycle transactions.
• Strong ability to interpret and apply relevant legislation, policies and procedures.
• Excellent organisational skills with the capacity to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines and maintain confidentiality.
