People & Change Senior Associate – Business Consulting Services

About the role

KPMG's Business Consulting Services unit in Nairobi is looking for a Senior Associate to analyse client needs, develop strategies and deliver HR solutions. The role covers engagement delivery, business development, team supervision and compliance with KPMG policies and professional standards.

Key responsibilities

• Help prepare work plans, budgets and quality plans, track milestones and deliverables, and run engagement kick-off, progress and close-out meetings
• Keep stakeholders informed, ensure financial closure and QRM-compliant files, and follow direction from Engagement Managers, Associate Directors and Partners
• Take part in proposals, bids and pitches; build client relationships and pursue further work
• Manage revenue, meet targets, ensure proper billing and collect within 30 days of billing
• Contribute to articles, client insights, webinars and market-facing initiatives
• Supervise, coach and train team members, give feedback through the performance management system and manage leave
• Sign off risk documents and pre-engagement risk activities, coordinate with the quality risk management team and ensure full compliance with Quality and Risk Management policies

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management or another relevant field
• At least 5 years' experience in human resource consulting
• Membership of a relevant professional body such as CIPD or IHRM
• Professional HR certification (e.g. CHRP(K), PHRi, SPHRi) is an added advantage
• Experience across the breadth of the People and Change service offering

• Ability to coach and develop junior team members
