Portfolio Recovery Executive

About the role

Oya Microcredit Limited is hiring a full-time Portfolio Recovery Executive based in Nairobi (Westlands), reporting to the Portfolio Recovery Manager. The role covers monitoring loan accounts, following up with clients and recovering outstanding debts.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor customer loan accounts and identify overdue payments
• Follow up with clients by calls, messages and field visits to secure repayment
• Recover outstanding debts from borrowers
• Assess risk levels and recommend recovery actions
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly portfolio reports and track loan performance
• Work with the credit and operations team to reconcile payments
• Negotiate repayment plans with clients where necessary
• Maintain accurate records of all recovery activities

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Accounting or a related field
• Experience in debt collection, credit control or loan recovery is an added advantage
• Ability to work in the field and handle clients professionally
